Myofascial Release Therapy is an excellent option in treating the Pediatric population in combination with other supporting therapies. Our pediatric patients range from newborns to 18 years of age. Most of our Pediatric patients have a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, birth or head trauma, neurological pain, scoliosis, and movement dysfunction.

Myofascial Release is safe, gentle and uses the same whole-body approach to assess and treat babies and children as in adults. Modifications and adjustments are made as needed to maximize treatment and help the young patient feel comfortable and at ease.

Some children are born with conditions that are congenital in nature, while others develop pain and dysfunction of movement in childhood years due to trauma, surgery, sport injuries or falls.  The sooner the young patient can begin to receive treatment and care, the greater chance he/she has of returning to a normal level of function and performance.

The therapist will communicate directly with the patient’s parents/guardian to review medical history, precautions, other therapies the patient may be receiving, and goals for treatment. Our goal with Myofascial Release Therapy is not to substitute or replace any other therapeutic care the patient needs, but rather to enhance and support the patient’s overall healthcare and well-being.
